To download your KRA Withholding Certificate on iTax, follow the outlined steps below and get a copy of your KRA Withholding Certificate online quickly and easily today.
Step 1: Visit iTax
The first and foremost step in the process of How To Download KRA Withholding Certificate, is to visit iTax using the link – https://itax.kra.go.ke/KRA-Portal/
Step 2: Log in to iTax
In this step, login to iTax using either your KRA PIN Number or National ID Number, along with your KRA Password (iTax Password). Follow this sequence; Enter KRA PIN Number or National ID Number, click on the “Continue” button, enter iTax Password (KRA Password), solve the arithmetic question (security stamp) and finally click on the “Login” button to access your iTax account dashboard.
Step 3: Click on Certificates
Once you are logged into iTax, on the right hand side – click on “Certificates” then proceed and click on “Reprint KRA Withholding Certificate” from the drop down menu list.
Step 4: Reprint KRA Withholding Certificate
In this step, there is not much to do but just clicking on the “Consult” button so as to load the Withholding Certificates. A pop up from itax.kra.go.ke will appear asking you: “Are you sure you want to reprint?” Click on the “Yes” button because we need to Download KRAWithholding Certificate.
Step 5: Download KRA Withholding Certificate
To download KRA Withholding Certificate on iTax, just click on the WHT Certificate Number i.e. “KRAWHTMDI*******6“.
This is what we refer to as KRAWithholding Certificate which has the following parts: Withholder KRA PIN, Withholdee KRA PIN, Withholder Name, Certificate Date, Withholding Tax and Withholding Tax (WHT) Certificate Number.

If you have KRA Withholding Certificate, you are supposed to declare the same during the process of filing KRA Returns on iTax. Ensure you capture the details contained in the Withholding Certificate(s) while filing your tax returns.
